Carnival Cruise Lines heads for Northern Europe and South America – Market leader presents German catalogue for the 2013/14 season

After several years, Carnival Cruise Lines (www.carnivalcruiselines.de) will once again offer voyages along the coasts of Northern Europe in summer 2013. In the recently published catalogue for the 2013/14 season, the market leader presents several 13-day roundtrips from Dover to Norway, the British Isles and the Baltics. The latter (6 departures between July and August 2013 on board the Carnival Legend) will take passengers even to St. Petersburg (from 1396 €). In spring and autumn 2013, the Carnival Legend will cruise the Mediterranean on 13-day trips (from 1092 €).

After completing her 155 million Dollar renovation, the former Carnival Destiny will not only be state-of-the-art, but also bear a new name. Under the name of Carnival Sunshine, she will take 10-15-day Mediterranean cruises between April and October 2013 (from 870 €). On board the Carnival Sunshine and five other Carnival ships in Europe and the Caribbean, German onboard magazines and German menu cards will be a help to the German-speaking passengers as will be the German-speaking onboard assistant who will always be ready to answer any questions.

In addition to rediscovering the North Sea and the Baltic as cruise destinations, Carnival Cruise Lines will sail around South America in February and March next year. The first cruise will be an 18-day voyage on board the Carnival Splendor (3000 passengers) from Los Angeles to the Chilean city of Valparaiso (from 1092 €), followed by another segment to Buenos Aires around Cape Horn (14 days, from 1423 €) and a final tour to New York including Brazil and the Caribbean (19 days, from 1540 €).

After spending this year’s inaugural season in the Mediterranean, the new Carnival Breeze which joined the Carnival fleet in early June 2012 will be employed in the Caribbean together with 19 other ships of the market leader. The new flagship will head for the island paradise of the Lesser Antilles and the Greater Antilles on 7-9-day cruises from Miami (from 502 €).

Passengers comparing cruise companies should consider that obligatory tips in the amount of 11.50 USD per day are already included in the prices mentioned in the Carnival catalogue.
