Umfassendes Facelifting für die Carnival Inspiration – Der Marktführer investiert kräftig in den Bestand – Weiterer Neubau kommt 2018
München – Carnival Cruise Line (www.carnivalcruiseline.de) treibt die Modernisierung der eigenen Flotte nicht nur durch die für den 1. Mai terminierte Indienststellung des neuen Flaggschiffs Carnival Vista sowie einen für 2018 angekündigten weiteren Neubau voran. Im Schatten dieser „Leuchtturmprojekte“ optimiert der Weltmarktführer auch kräftig innerhalb des Bestands.
So wird aktuell die Carnival Inspiration einer umfassenden Renovierung unterzogen. Zwischen 18. Januar und 5. Februar erhält das 2.052 Passagieren Platz bietende Schiff dabei auch eine Reihe neuer Highlights, die bisher nur auf Carnival-Schiffen der jüngeren Generation zu finden waren.
So wird es gleich drei neue Restaurants und Bars in Poolnähe geben. In Guy’s Burger Joint brutzeln saftige Burger und Pommes, während in der BlueIguana Cantina mexikanische Spezialitäten auf hungrige Gäste warten. Hier wie dort ist der Genuss schon im Kreuzfahrtpreis inbegriffen. Ebenfalls in Poolnähe kredenzt die RedFrog Rum Bar neben karibischen Cocktails auch Carnivals hauseigene Biermarke, das ThirstyFrog Red.
Mit der Alchemy Bar und der BlueIguana Tequila Bar locken künftig zwei weitere Hot Spots, die schon auf anderen Schiffen der Flotte viele Freunde gefunden haben.
Der große Wasserpark „WaterWorks“ wird auch nach der Renovierung ein Highlight der Carnival Inspiration sein, ebenso wie das großzügige Spa- und Wellness Center oder der nur für Erwachsene zugängliche Serenity-Bereich.
Nach dem umfangreichen Facelift nimmt die Carnival Inspiration ihre drei- und viertägigen Kreuzfahrten ab/bis Los Angeles (Long Beach) entlang der Küste Kaliforniens wieder auf.

Carnival LIVE - Neue Konzert-Termine 2016
Auch 2016 setzt Carnival Cruise Line sein Programm Carnival LIVE mit unvergesslichen Konzerterlebnissen fort. Carnival Live 2016 lineup to feature popular acts Journey, Trace Adkins, Gladys Knight and KC & The Sunshine Band
Carnival Cruise Line has announced its initial 2016 Carnival LIVE lineup with popular acts Journey, Trace Adkins, Gladys Knight, and KC & The Sunshine Band entertaining guests on 11 different ships next year.
Bringing the best in live music to the seas, Carnival LIVE is a one-of-a-kind entertainment experience that provides guests an opportunity to enjoy captivating performances by major artists at a tremendous value. Performances are held in the ships’ main theaters – ranging in guest capacity from 900 to 1,300 – meaning there’s never a bad seat in the house.
Carnival LIVE performances will be offered on cruises departing from eight U.S. homeports with concerts taking place while vessels are docked in Cozumel, Nassau and St. Thomas.
The 2016 Carnival Live Concert Series kicks off with three performances by legendary singer Gladys Knight who will perform while Carnival Liberty, Carnival Valor and Carnival Splendor are docked in St. Thomas Feb. 1-3, respectively. Knight will showcase songs from her incredible musical career that began in Motown and then crossed over to pop music with her Grammy Award-winning number one hit “Midnight Train to Georgia.”
Fans are sure to “get down tonight” as they enjoy three high-energy shows in Cozumel by KC & The Sunshine Band, who rose to fame in the 1970s with four consecutive number one singles. Led by charismatic front man Harry Casey – better known as KC – the concerts will take place in Cozumel March 22-24 aboard Carnival Paradise, Carnival Fantasy and Carnival Breeze.
Diamond-certified album holder JOURNEY returns to Carnival LIVE for a second consecutive year with back-to-back shows in Nassau aboard Carnival Pride May 5 and Carnival Victory May 6. The band has sold 80 million albums worldwide and has earned 19 Top 40 singles and 25 gold, platinum and multi-platinum albums since its formation in 1973 in San Francisco. The prestigious "Legend of Live Award" was presented to JOURNEY at the 2011 Billboard Touring Awards to honor the band's contributions to live music.
Fresh from his appearance at Carnival’s Ultimate Cowboys Fan Fest last month, Trace Adkins returns to Carnival LIVE again this year with three concerts in Nassau aboard Carnival Freedom July 6, Carnival Dream July 7 and Carnival Conquest July 8. Adkins’ trademark baritone has powered many hit songs to the top of the charts, with the Grammy-nominated member of the Grand Ole Opry selling more than 10 million records and 20 singles on the Billboard country charts.
Carnival LIVE tickets for 2016 range from $40 to $75 for general admission, significantly less than land-based venues. VIP tickets are available for $150 to $250 and offer seating in the first four rows, a photo opportunity with the artist and a commemorative concert pass.
Carnival Victory besucht erstmals Amber Cove
Am 6. Oktober hat die Carnival Victory als erstes Schiff den neuen Hafen Amber Cove erreicht. Ihre Ankunft bildet den Auftakt für eine Reihe von Ost- und Südkaribik-Kreuzfahrten, die den Norden der Dominikanischen Republik zum Ziel haben und die Region rund um Puerto Plata erstmals seit rund 30 Jahren wieder zu einem festen Bestandteil des Kreuzfahrtkalenders machen.
Carnival erweitert Kapazität in Cozumel
Mit der Eröffnung eines dritten Anlegers im Hafen Puerta Maya hat Carnival Cruise Line sein Angebot auf Cozumel erweitert.
